The Winthara Table Lamp pairs an old bud vase with a scrap of vintage dress fabric. The base is ash wood shaped like a long-necked bottle: a slim stem rises from a low, rounded belly, and the whole piece is finished in black so the curve reads as one clean silhouette. On top sits a wide cone shade wrapped in a dark forest-green print scattered with small red, orange, pink and cream flowers, the kind of calico floral once used for aprons, curtains and summer dresses. Lit, the shade glows dim green and red at the edges while the light falls out from the open bottom onto the table around the black base.

From measurement to finish, woodworking demands a balance of structure and patience. Every cut is squared, every joint dry-fit, every surface hand-sanded to 220 grit before oiling.
