The Cavoren Flush Mount Ceiling Light started from the stone wellheads in the courtyards of old Italian farmhouses, a thick, rounded ring of pale travertine set over the opening of the well. Lean over the edge and you see the worn, pitted stone curving down toward a small circle of light at the bottom. We turned that ring upside down and put it on the ceiling, a soft, rounded band of travertine with the light sitting inside it, where the water used to be.
The shade is cut from natural travertine. Its banding, color and open pores differ on every piece, so no two lights look exactly the same.
