Inspiration

The Meadowelle Flush Mount Ceiling Light started from the straw sun hats worn to summer picnics in a meadow: a round crown, a brim gone wavy at the edge, and a striped ribbon tied around the top. Here the hat is turned up against the ceiling. The striped hatband sits right at the ceiling as a green-and-cream striped canopy, the sandy textured dome is the crown, and below the wavy edge of the brim a white acrylic diffuser shows through, following the same waves.
