Donuts came out of a mid-century habit we kept coming back to: making a light out of one simple shape and refusing to add anything else. So it's a ring — a shallow glass disc with a hole through the middle, tinted the amber of old pressed glass rather than painted. Off the wall it reads as an object; lit, the tint warms everything the light touches. Nothing about it hides. That was the point.

At Ø11.8″ and under 4″ deep, Donuts sits flat enough to work in tight spots — beside a bed, sofa, or mirror, along a hallway or stairwell, or flat on the ceiling of a low-ceiling bedroom or entry. Mount a pair either side of a bed at roughly 60–66″ from the floor, or run three down a corridor about 32–40″ apart — just check there's an outlet within reach of the cord. The amber tint means the light lands warm no matter which colour setting you pick, so it reads as mood and accent light rather than task light — add a reading lamp where you need to see detail.
