Inspiration

The Nuvane is a moon set in stone. One circle of glass, one circle of travertine, nothing else — the composition came from the quarried slab itself, where a cut face already reads as a full disc of warm sediment. Travertine is a stone full of holes, laid down by mineral springs over thousands of years, and those open pits were left unfilled so the surface stays honest against the smooth, sealed curve of the glass. Rough and polished, shadow and glow, in one plane.

Key Features

Yellow Travertine Disc
A round disc of natural yellow travertine with the stone's open pitting and warm veining — every piece is unique.
White Glass Orb
The glass globe set into the stone glows warm and soft — ambient accent light, framed like a moon, rather than a task beam.
G9 LED Included, No Transformer
A warm white G9 7W LED is included and replaceable, and the socket is line-voltage — no transformer or driver to source.
Size & Fit

Measurement Value
Diameter Ø7.9″ (20 cm)
Projection 4.7″ (12 cm) from the wall

One size. At under 8″ across it reads as a single quiet disc rather than a fixture, which suits a bedside — often in pairs — a hallway, or either side of a vanity mirror. Beside a bed, mount the center around 56–60″ (142–152 cm) from the floor, or roughly 18″ above the mattress; flanking a mirror, keep both at eye level, about 60–66″ (152–168 cm) up.

FAQ

What bulb does it use — is it included?
It takes 1 × G9, and a 7W warm white LED bulb is included and fully replaceable. The socket is line-voltage, so no transformer or driver is needed — a standard G9 LED threads straight in.
How bright is it?
A single 7W bulb behind the white glass orb gives a soft, warm ambient glow — enough to move around a room by, not enough to read by. Pair it with a lamp or downlights where you need directed light.
Will mine look exactly like the photo?
No two are identical. Travertine is natural stone, so veining, tone, and the pattern of open pitting vary from piece to piece. That variation is the nature of the material rather than a defect.
Can it go in a bathroom?
A dry-area vanity or powder room is fine. Travertine is porous and not damp-rated, so avoid a bathroom where shower steam reaches it, and avoid outdoor use. It is hardwired to a standard wall box, so use a licensed electrician.

No. 02 — The Material

A stone that took two thousand years to arrive.

Travertine forms over millennia as mineral-rich spring water layers into solid stone. No two sections look alike — each piece carries its own trace of pores, veins, and color drift. The irregularities you see aren't imperfections. They're the stone's fingerprint.

No. 03

Four reasons
travertine feels different.

A growing number of US homes are swapping cold metal and glossy finishes for materials with real presence. Here's what makes this stone hold up to that shift — and why it holds up in a room.

01 / 04

One-of-a-kind texture

Every piece carries its own pattern of pores, veins, and soft color shifts. Shaped over millennia — not printed, not stamped. The lamp on your table is, by nature, unique.

02 / 04

Warm, lived-in tones

Natural cream, sand, and honey hues that read warm in any light — from morning sun to the last lamp-lit hour of the evening. The color the stone brings to the room doesn't read dated five years later.

03 / 04

Real stone, real weight

You feel it the moment you pick one up. Solid in the hand, grounded on the table. Nothing hollow, nothing plastic trying to imitate the surface of something it isn't.

04 / 04

Built to age well

Travertine softens beautifully with time. A lamp today, a piece that looks even better in ten years. The kind of purchase that earns its price instead of dating itself.

No. 04 — On Craft

"Every lamp is cut from a single block of natural travertine, then hand-finished until the surface is smooth to the touch but still honest about what it is — real stone, not composite, not resin."

No. 05 — Placement

Where travertine lighting belongs.

Each room has a spot that changes when a piece of stone lands in it. Three placements we keep seeing work.

No. 06 — Film Reel — Stone & Light

See how the stone
warms the light.

A diffused, honey-toned glow — softened once by the shade, and again by the stone around it.
