Inspiration

The Orrivo Table Lamp started from two smooth sea stones stacked on a windowsill, a pale, wide one balanced on a smaller, darker one below. We kept that loose, balanced stack: a broad, soft-edged shade resting on a rounded base, with only a thin gap between them. Both pieces are kept round on every side, with no sharp edge anywhere. Lit, the pale top glows like the stone in the morning sun, and the base below catches the light on its glossy curve.
