جاء ثريا Kairo من سؤال عن التركيب الخطي نفسه: لماذا يجب أن يكون شريطاً واحداً متصلاً؟ قطع الطول إلى أربع كتل جوز منفصلة وترك فجوة بينهما يغير الطريقة التي يُقرأ بها التركيب — العين تتابع إيقاعاً وليس خطاً، والحبوب الطرفية الداكنة تظهر في كل مفصل، لذا الخشب يعلن عن نفسه كخشب بدلاً من كونه علبة. أقرب إلى صف من الأشياء الصلبة معلقة في صف واحد من شريط إضاءة.

Each Docos lamp is shaped from a single, slow-grown hardwood — oak, walnut, ash, cherry — finished by hand and fitted with warm 2700K bulbs. No two pieces are alike, because no two trees are.
