Three sizes: 3.9″ × 7.1″ (1-globe), 3.9″ × 11″ (2-globe), or 3.9″ × 18.9″ (3-globe). G9 LED sockets, 7W per bulb. For a hallway, bedside, vanity mirror, powder room, or accent wall. Modern minimalist, Quiet Luxury, Japandi, and Mediterranean style.

Good To Know

!
1, 2, or 3 × G9 LED bulbs · natural alabaster · opal glass globes · hardwired · powder room OK, no shower / outdoor Backplate is real natural alabaster stone (gypsum) — each piece has unique veining, color tone, and translucency. Globes are opal glass (milky white, smooth glossy). Hardware is gold-tone metal. Sockets are G9 (small bi-pin base) — widely available in the US; LED bulbs included by default. Bulb count: Small (7.1″) takes 1, Medium (11″) takes 2, Large (18.9″) takes 3. Use LED only, max 7W per bulb. Alabaster is porous and not damp-rated — OK for powder rooms (no shower) and dry-zone vanity mirrors; not for full bathrooms with shower steam or outdoor. Don’t use water for cleaning; alabaster absorbs moisture and can stain. Hardwires to standard wall junction box; licensed electrician recommended. Indoor dry locations only.
Key Features

Natural Alabaster D-Shape Backplate
Natural alabaster cut into a vertical half-rounded D-shape — veining varies piece to piece; no two alike.
Opal Glass Globe Shades
Milky opal glass globes diffuse the G9 LED evenly — no hotspots, no visible filament.
Gold-Tone Metal Hardware
A small gold-tone collar joins each globe to the alabaster — minimal hardware, so the stone and glass lead.
Available Sizes

Three sizes — same 3.9″ (10 cm) width; only the height and globe count scale up. Same alabaster, opal glass, gold-tone hardware, and G9 sockets in every size.

!
Bathroom use: dry zone only Powder rooms (no shower) and vanity mirrors outside the shower zone are OK. Full bathrooms with shower steam, kitchens directly over a range, or any outdoor location are not OK — alabaster is porous and absorbs moisture, which causes staining, discoloration, and surface damage over time.

FAQ

Which size should I pick for my space?
Pick by application. Small (1-globe, 7.1″) beside a bed, in a hallway, or as a single accent — pair two for symmetrical bedside or mirror flanking. Medium (2-globe, 11″) is the most popular vanity size — over a powder-room mirror or in pairs flanking a wider mirror. Large (3-globe, 18.9″) for tall vanity mirrors, master-bedroom feature walls, foyers, or hospitality settings. Mount the center of the fixture 60-66 inches above the floor at a vanity, or align with adjacent art and mirror heights for accent installs.
What is G9 and where do I buy replacement bulbs?
G9 is a small bi-pin base with two tiny prongs at the bottom of the bulb — smaller than the standard US E26 medium base. G9 LED bulbs are widely available in the US on Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, Lumens, and Bulbrite. Search “G9 LED bulb” or “G9 bi-pin LED.” LED bulbs are included by default, and bulbs are fully replaceable. Use LED only, max 7W per bulb, 2700-3000K warm white. Do not use halogen — it runs hot near the alabaster and small opal globe and can cause discoloration.
Will the alabaster look exactly like the photo? How do I clean it?
Variation is part of the material. Each alabaster backplate is cut from natural stone, so veining pattern, color tone (some pieces read warmer honey, others cooler cream), and translucency vary piece to piece. The listing photo is representative, not a guaranteed match. For pairs that need close visual matching, email info@docos.us for hand-selection. Cleaning: dust with a dry soft microfiber cloth only. Do not use water, vinegar, alcohol, or any household cleaner on alabaster — the stone is porous and will stain or etch. Opal glass globes can be cleaned with a barely-damp microfiber and standard glass cleaner.
Can I use it in a bathroom or over a vanity?
Powder room (no shower) — yes. Vanity mirror in the dry zone of a master bathroom — yes, as long as it’s well-separated from shower steam. Full bathroom with shower steam — not recommended; alabaster is porous, and repeated humidity cycles cause staining, discoloration, and over time can degrade the stone. Outdoor or covered patio — no; fixture is not damp-rated. Kitchen directly over a range — no; cooking grease and steam damage both alabaster and opal glass.
How do I install it — do I need an electrician?
It’s a hardwired wall sconce — mounts to a standard wall junction box. Licensed electrician recommended: each globe wires through the back of the alabaster panel, and the panel itself must be handled carefully during install (alabaster is moderately fragile and can chip if dropped). The Small size (1-globe) is straightforward; Medium and Large (2-3 globes) take more time because each socket wires through the panel. Confirm your junction box is positioned where you want the center of the fixture before drilling new mounting holes. Indoor, dry locations only.
Alabaster — Natural Stone Lighting

The Craft

From a block of stone
to light in your room.

Alabaster can't be moulded or mass-pressed — it is cut. Every shade starts as solid stone and is worked by hand until it's thin enough to glow evenly. That's why no two are the same.

01

Quarried

Blocks of natural alabaster are extracted and graded for translucency and the quality of their veining before any cutting begins.

02

Cut & shaped

Each block is sliced and turned or carved to form, then hollowed so a bulb can sit behind the stone wall.

03

Hand-finished

The walls are sanded to an even thickness so light passes through without dark patches, then polished by hand.

04

Wired & assembled

Fitted with brass hardware and wired to a 120V, ETL-compliant build, then inspected before it ships.

Why Alabaster

What makes it read as something rarer.

Translucent, not opaque

Light passes through the stone itself — the lit-from-inside quality you can't get from glass or acrylic.

Veining unique to your piece

Cut from a solid block, so the cloud-like veining is its own. No two alabaster fixtures are identical.

Warm and glare-free

The stone scatters light rather than aiming it. Pair with a 2700K bulb; most fixtures dim on a compatible LED dimmer.

Made for layered rooms

A soft accent beside stronger overhead light — at home with wood, linen, and brass in modern interiors.

Lit From Within

It doesn't light the room.
It becomes the light.

Switched off, an alabaster fixture is a quiet stone object. Switched on, the whole piece glows — sculpture you happen to be able to turn on.

The Collection

A gallery of carved light.

Chandeliers, pendants, sconces, table and floor lamps — all cut from natural alabaster, most paired with brass. Dozens of pieces in all.

Find My Size

Which alabaster light
for which room.

Dining & Island

Hang a linear pendant or chandelier roughly 30–36″ above the surface. For a 6–8′ island, size the fixture or cluster to about two-thirds the counter length.

Foyer & Stairwell

Two-story spaces suit a tiered chandelier — Corbett or Miira. Keep the lowest point at least 7′ off the floor in a walkway.

Bedside & Hallway

A wall sconce — Ando, Marmo, Velora — frees the nightstand and adds the soft accent layer. Plug-in versions skip the hardwiring.

Living Room & Den

A table lamp — Marie, Pico — anchors a reading corner with warm light beside your overheads.

Questions

Alabaster lighting, answered.

Is alabaster lighting durable, or does the stone chip easily?

Alabaster is a solid, fine-grained stone with real weight — not fragile in normal use. It is softer than marble, so avoid knocks and harsh chemical cleaners. A soft, dry cloth keeps it looking right for years.

Will my alabaster fixture look exactly like the photo?

No — and that's by design. Each shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining and tone are unique to your piece. The product photo shows a representative example; yours will have its own distinct veining.

What bulb and colour temperature work best with alabaster?

Use a 2700K warm-white LED to bring out the honeyed, candle-like tone in the stone. Cooler bulbs make alabaster look gray. Most fixtures take an E26 or G9 base — check the product page — and dim with a compatible LED dimmer.

Which alabaster fixture should I choose for my room size?

Chandeliers (Corbett, Kurve, Miira) suit dining rooms and two-story foyers; pendants suit kitchen islands; sconces suit bedsides and hallways. Send us your dimensions for a free 3D preview to scale before you order.
