Lorenzo Chandelier

The Lorenzo Chandelier is designed around the premise that the main light in a room should be worth looking at — not just functional overhead coverage, but an object with its own presence. The hand-cast glass discs each carry their own texture and depth; hung in a halo arrangement from a brass-finished chain, the cluster refracts light into warm, shifting tones that fill the room differently at every hour. Available in three sizes scaled from a statement dining room anchor to a room-defining living room centerpiece, the Lorenzo doesn't compete with the space around it. It organizes it.

Why You'll Love It
🫧 Hand-Cast Glass — Every Disc Is Unique Each glass disc is individually cast, which means the texture, tonal depth, and light refraction varies from piece to piece. The chandelier you receive is assembled from components that no other Lorenzo shares exactly. That variation is the point — it's what gives the fixture the quality of something made rather than manufactured.
Light That Moves Across the Room The glass discs refract the bulbs into shifting amber, green, or clear tones that spread across the ceiling and upper walls in a pattern that changes with the viewing angle and the time of day. Switched on in the evening, the room takes on a warmth and dimensionality that no plain ceiling fixture produces.
🟡 Brass Chain — The Right Material at Every Scale The brass-finished chain provides the structural and visual counterpoint to the organic glass below. Its metallic warmth relates to the amber and gold tones in the glass while grounding the fixture with a material that reads as refined and considered at every size — from the 60 cm to the 95 cm.
🔆 8 to 12 Bulbs — Layered, Even Coverage The multiple E14 bulbs distributed across the chandelier's halo create a warm, even light that fills the room from multiple angles simultaneously — no dominant bright spot, no shadowed corner. The 95 cm model with 12 bulbs produces the kind of ambient coverage that makes a large open space feel inhabited rather than just illuminated.
Where It Lives Best
🍽 Dining Room

Centered above the dining table, the Lorenzo defines the room's social zone. The glass discs refract warm light across every face at the table — the kind of overhead glow that makes meals feel like occasions. The 80 cm model is ideal for a table seating 6–8; the 95 cm anchors a longer or wider dining room with full authority.

80 or 95 cm — ideal
🛋 Living Room

As the primary overhead fixture in a living room, the 95 cm Lorenzo fills the ceiling zone with warmth and visual presence that no recessed or track lighting arrangement produces. The halo of glass discs organizes the room beneath it — the seating arrangement responds to the chandelier as the room's center of gravity.

95 cm — ideal
🏛 Foyer & Open Space

In an entry foyer or open-plan space with volume, the Lorenzo is the first thing guests see and the fixture that sets the register for everything that follows. The 60 cm model works in a foyer with a ceiling height of 9–10 feet; the 95 cm belongs in spaces with 12 feet or more — double-height entries, open living areas, loft conversions.

60 cm for foyers
Design & Space Value
Standard Overhead Fixture
  • Single light source — room reads flat from above
  • No visual presence — the ceiling is ignored
  • Furniture arrangement has no focal point to respond to
  • Light is adequate but the fixture adds nothing
  • Room feels furnished but not composed
With Lorenzo
  • Halo of glass discs organizes the room beneath it
  • Refracted amber, green, or clear tones fill the upper walls
  • Brass chain gives the vertical axis material presence
  • Furniture arrangement finds its natural center
  • Room reads as designed — the ceiling contributes to the composition
Styling & Combinations
Go bigger — the room will thank you for it. The most common regret with statement chandeliers is choosing a size that's too small. A 60 cm fixture in a room that needed 80 cm reads as tentative; an 80 cm in a room that could have held 95 cm reads as cautious. The Lorenzo is designed to own the ceiling zone it occupies — and it can only do that when the diameter is proportional to the room. As a guide: the 60 cm for rooms under 150 sq ft, the 80 cm for 150–250 sq ft, the 95 cm for anything larger or any room where the chandelier is the primary design statement. When in doubt, size up.
💡 Layer With Wall Lights The Lorenzo as the primary overhead source and wall sconces at mid-height gives the room three light levels — chandelier for ambient volume, wall lights for structural warmth, candles or table lamps for intimacy. The glass disc refraction at ceiling level and the focused wall wash below create a room that feels fully inhabited at any time of day. Layered Lighting
🟠 Orange for Warmth, Green for Depth The Orange glass (amber tones) makes a room feel warmer and more inviting — the refracted light reads golden at every surface it touches. The Green glass deepens the atmosphere — a cooler, more botanical tone that reads as quietly distinctive. White/clear is the most versatile: maximum light output, neutral refraction, every interior palette. Color Selection
🎚 Dimmer — Two Chandeliers in One At full output, the Lorenzo delivers bright, even coverage for meals, gatherings, and daily use. At 20–30% on a compatible dimmer, the glass discs glow rather than illuminate — the refracted tones deepen, the brass chain catches the low light, and the room shifts from functional to atmospheric. One fixture, two completely different rooms. Dimmer — sold separately

Docos Murano glass lighting

Every Piece, Singular.

No two of our hand-blown lamps are alike. Yours will exist nowhere else.

Why Docos

A Thousand Years of Murano.
In Every Lamp.

On a single Venetian island, master glassblowers have shaped molten color into light since 1291. We work directly with these same artisans — fewer than a hundred remain — to bring their fire, breath, and signature into your home. Every Docos piece is hand-blown, hand-finished, and signed by its maker. There are no factories. Only furnaces, time, and a skill that cannot be hurried.

The Murano Method

Six Steps. Two Thousand Degrees.
One Heirloom.

Every Docos lamp passes through three to five master craftsmen — each step impossible to fake, hurry, or outsource.

Gathering

Pulled from the 1,150°C furnace — the moment glass becomes possibility.

Signing

Each lamp inspected, numbered, and signed by the maestro who made it.

One-of-a-Kind

No Two Pieces Alike.
That's the Promise of Murano.

The swirls, bubbles, and color shifts in your Docos lamp aren't flaws to be polished away. They're fingerprints — proof your light was breathed into being by a single artisan, on a single morning, from a single gather of glass. Mass-produced lighting can be replaced. Yours cannot.

Sommerso layered glass

Sommerso. Layered.

Colors dipped layer by layer, suspended in crystal — a depth that shifts as light moves.

Pulegoso bubbled glass

Pulegoso. Bubbled.

Trapped air scattered like champagne — every bubble catching the bulb behind it.

Battuto hammered glass

Battuto. Hammered.

Hand-struck facets that fracture light like cut stone — each strike unrepeatable.
