What size domes does this chandelier have, and how many can I choose?

Each hand-carved alabaster dome is 5.5″ diameter × 4.7″ tall. You can order 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11 domes in a spiral drop configuration.

What drop lengths are available, and can they be adjusted?

Standard drops range from 59″ (3-light) to 138″ (11-light). Cables shorten on-site, and longer drops are available on request.

What type of bulbs does this use, and how bright is it?

E26/E27 medium-base LED or Edison bulbs up to ~9W per socket. A 3-light reads as accent or mood lighting; 7–11 domes are recommended for full two-story stairwell coverage.

Is this dimmable, and what do I need?

Yes, it's compatible with common wall switches and dimmers (not included). We recommend 2700K warm-white LED bulbs to preserve the alabaster's natural color.

How is this installed, and do I need an electrician?

It's hardwired to the ceiling with a round canopy. A licensed electrician is recommended. Sloped ceilings up to 15° are compatible; steeper pitches receive a free adapter.

What canopy finishes are available?

Black is the default. Matte brass, brushed nickel, and satin gold are available on request.

Will alabaster veining and color look the same on each dome?

No. Each dome is hand-carved from solid alabaster, so veining and translucency vary by piece — no two share the same pattern. This is natural and not a defect.

Installation Notes

Hardwired ceiling install — a licensed electrician is recommended.
Cables shorten on-site; for drops beyond the standard max, request extended cable when ordering.
Sloped ceiling compatible up to 15°; steeper pitches ship with a free sloped-ceiling adapter — send pitch angle when ordering.
For two-story stairwells, the 9 or 11-light is sized to fall through the well so domes read at both floors.
We recommend 2700K warm-white LED (E26 in North America, E27 elsewhere, ≤9W per socket) to preserve the alabaster's natural color.
Alabaster is a natural stone — small surface variations and color veining are inherent and not defects.

FAQs

Is one rose dome alabaster pendant bright enough for a foyer or stairwell?

Each dome takes one E26/E27 bulb (medium-base LED up to ~9W or Edison-filament equivalent). A 3-light reads as accent or mood light; for full foyer or stairwell coverage at two-story height, plan on 7–11 domes.

How many lights should I order for my stairwell or two-story entryway?

8–10 ft single-story foyer: 3 or 5-light. Standard two-story stairwell (~16 ft well): 7 or 9-light. Tall stairwells or 20+ ft foyers: 11-light. Email us your ceiling height for a free layout.

Does this work with E26 bulbs in the US, or do I need E27?

E26 (North America) and E27 (EU/global) share the same physical thread — only the voltage rating differs. The fixture is AC 110–240V universal, so a standard US E26 LED works as-is.

How do I install this on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?

Standard canopies fit flat ceilings or pitches up to 15°. For steeper slopes — common over open stairwells — a sloped-ceiling adapter ships free. Send the pitch angle at order.

What's the warranty, and what happens if a bulb fails?

2-year warranty on fixture, canopy, and wiring. E26/E27 bulbs are standard replaceable parts from any hardware store. Email support replies within one business day at hello@vakkerlight.com.
