Inspiration

The Seashell Wall Sconce started from a ribbed scallop shell picked up on a summer beach and held up to the low evening sun, its thin, fluted edges glowing pale pink and green as the light came through. A few pieces of colored sea glass rattled in the same pocket. We kept the fan of ribs and the soft, scalloped edge, made the shell from glass in the colors of that beach, and set it on a small brass plate on the wall.

Which glass color should I choose?
Clear gives the brightest light. Translucent is semi-clear glass with frosted ribs, so the shell texture stands out while plenty of light comes through. Matte White is fully frosted white glass with the softest, glare-free glow. Green and Pink add a gentle wash of color, like sea glass, and suit a bathroom or bedroom.
Will it fit in a narrow hallway?
Yes. It sticks out only 7cm/2.8″ from the wall, so it works in a narrow hallway, beside a mirror or on each side of a bed without getting in the way.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
Yes. It is damp rated, so it can go beside a bathroom mirror or in a covered outdoor area such as a porch under a roof. Keep it out of direct shower spray and rain.
Is a bulb included, and how is it installed?
Yes. It comes with one E26 or E27 bulb in warm 3000K light. E26 is the standard screw base used in the US. It is hardwired to a wall junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.
