The Cantivra Floor Lamp came from the wooden easel in the corner of a painter’s studio: one long post leaning back on two thin black legs, with a small lamp clamped near the top so the light could be tipped onto the canvas at night. The canvas changed every few weeks; the easel and its lamp stayed. We kept the lean, the two black legs and the lamp you can tip, and brought it into the living room.

Each Docos lamp is shaped from a single, slow-grown hardwood — oak, walnut, ash, cherry — finished by hand and fitted with warm 2700K bulbs. No two pieces are alike, because no two trees are.

We use FSC-certified North American hardwoods and finish with low-VOC oils. Built to last decades, not seasons.
From measurement to finish, woodworking demands a balance of structure and patience. Every cut is squared, every joint dry-fit, every surface hand-sanded to 220 grit before oiling.
Each curve is shaped to honor the grain, not fight it. The result isn't just a lamp — it's a story of patience, passed from craftsman to customer through a single block of wood.
