Inspiration

The Cordelia is drawn from the pleated lampshades of a mid-century sitting room — cloth gathered into narrow folds, then cut at the hem into a soft scallop and bound with cord so the edge holds its wave. The wooden beads on the drop come from the same era of furnishing, where a cord was rarely left plain. Lit, the pleats read as a ring of light and shadow rather than a flat drum, and the scalloped hem keeps the bottom edge from looking cut.

Over a dining table, aim for a shade about half the table's width — the Large suits a standard 36–42″ table or a kitchen island, the Small a breakfast nook, bedroom, or small round table. Hang the bottom of the shade about 30–36″ (75–90 cm) above the surface; the cord adjusts up to 59″ (1.5 m) at install.

Are bulbs included, and can I dim it?

Three warm white E27 bulbs are included (40W max each; E27 is cross-compatible with the standard US E26 base). To dim it, fit dimmable bulbs and use a compatible wall dimmer — the dimmer isn't included.

Which size and style should I pick?

Both styles come in both sizes. Take the Large (Ø19.7″) over a standard dining table or island, the Small (Ø15.7″) for a nook or bedroom. The daisy appliqué adds raised flowers for a cottagecore look; plain pleated stays neutral in a busier room.

Do I need an electrician?

It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box on 110–240V. A confident DIYer with hardwiring experience can manage it, but a licensed electrician is recommended for a code-compliant install.

Can it go in a bathroom, and how do I clean the shade?

No — fabric and wood are rated for indoor dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms and covered outdoor areas. Dust the pleats with a soft brush along the folds and wipe the wood beads with a barely damp cloth; never soak either.
