Inspiration

The Verdivelle Chandelier started from a tide pool in early summer, where frilled sea lettuce floated just under the surface: each leaf clear in the middle and edged in bright green, stacked in loose layers so the sun came through one after another. We shaped those leaves in glass, kept the ruffled green edges, and layered them in tiers around small candle lights so the light passes through the glass the same way.

Which size?

The 3-tier (50cm/19.7″) suits a bedroom, sunroom or small dining table. The 4-tier (60cm/23.6″) suits a dining table about 120–150cm/4–5 ft long. The 6-tier (80cm/31.5″) suits a large dining room, a living room or a foyer.

How bright is it?

It holds 6, 9 or 14 E12 or E14 bulbs in Warm Light (3000K), included. The light passes through the glass and picks up the green edges, so it works as the main ambient light for the room.

How do I clean the glass petals?

Turn off the light and let the bulbs cool, then wipe each petal with a soft dry cloth. Hold the petal at its center rather than the ruffled edge while cleaning.

How is it installed?

It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box and hangs from a 50cm/19.7″ adjustable chain with a 15cm/5.9″ canopy, so we recommend a licensed electrician. The fixture weighs 10.5kg/23.1lb, 16.8kg/37lb or 30kg/66.1lb depending on size, so make sure the ceiling box is rated to support it.
