This little lamp was such a pleasant surprise. It's so pretty! And, for its size, the light it puts out is incredibly bright. It reminds me of mid-century modern lamps I saw when I was young. It was easy to assemble and so attractive that I added two more to my cart. The lamp arrived in perfect condition, with no damage at all. It was clearly brand new. Its little box is sturdy and the lampshade is well protected. Our bathroom has no windows, so it's either lit by a fixture in the ceiling (duh) or by a lamp we plug into the wall. For some reason, no matter what wattage bulb we try in the plug-in lamp, the light inside is either unpleasantly bright or ends up at a level that mole people like. But the design of this lamp, with its cylindrical lampshade that surrounds the bulb on all sides, puts out a ton of light while keeping the lighting soft and pleasing. The bulb that comes with the lamp is very bright. There's a dark corner in the bedroom, and we just wanted a little light in there - but not too bright. The neutral design of the lamp is perfect for a bedroom (and really any room), and the bulb that comes with this lamp is perfect for a bathroom, or for lighting up a small room with a bathroom sink that only has one bright ceiling light. The same not enough light or too much light problem arises here. So we can't wait to replace our old cheap big box store table lamps with these minimalist nightstand lamps. The design of the lampshade really reminds me of the lamps that I had in my parents' house when I was a kid. The style is reminiscent of the good old days of the late 50s and early 60s, full of optimism and abundance.
