FAQ

What bulb does it use? Is one included?

Yes — a 3000K warm white LED bulb is included, so the lamp works on installation. The socket takes an E26 or E27 medium screw base, rated to 40W incandescent or the LED equivalent. Warm white is the right call here: it brings out the honey tones in the rattan, where a cool white flattens them out.

Can I really use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

Yes, within the damp rating. That covers bathrooms and covered outdoor areas such as a porch, a veranda, or a sheltered entry. It does not cover locations exposed to direct rain, sprinklers, or standing water — a damp rating is not a wet rating, and prolonged soaking will discolour and loosen the weave.

Does it work with a dimmer?

Yes. Vera is compatible with standard wall dimmer switches; the dimmer itself is not included. If you replace the bulb later, make sure the new one is labelled "dimmable" — non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or fail on a dimmer circuit.

Will the rattan look exactly like the photo?

Close, but not identical. Rattan is a natural fibre, so the weave spacing, grain, and depth of colour vary slightly from piece to piece. The silhouette and overall tone stay consistent; the surface character is what makes each one its own.

Do I need an electrician?

Vera is hardwired, with no plug or cord, and fits most standard residential wall junction boxes. If you are replacing an existing sconce the swap is straightforward, but we recommend a licensed electrician where no box exists yet or where the installation is in a bathroom or outdoor location.
