Adonia comes from the small amber glass shades that hung in mid-century workshops and corner bars — the kind blown quickly, one at a time, with the ripples of the process left in the surface. Amber was chosen because it does something clear glass can't: it warms the filament rather than hiding it, so the bulb becomes part of the object. The brass holder and turn-knob are borrowed from old task lamps, where the switch sat on the fixture and you reached up to click it.

Because it plugs in, Adonia works where ceiling wiring isn't an option — apartments, rentals, or any spot without a junction box. Hang Model A or B beside the bed as a reading pendant to free up the nightstand, run a row of Model C over a kitchen counter or island, or put one above an entryway console. The amber glass casts a warm-toned glow that sits well with wood, leather, and aged brass, and a vintage Edison filament bulb pushes it furthest toward the mid-century look.
