Does it need hardwiring or an electrician?

No. Drape the cord through the two included ceiling hooks — one above where the shade should hang, one near the outlet — and plug it into a standard wall socket. No junction box, no electrician, and fully reversible, so it suits renters.

Is a bulb included, and which type?

Yes — a 3000K warm white bulb is included. It takes one E14 small screw base up to 15W. E14 is the smaller European candelabra size rather than the standard US E26, so pick up E14 replacements specifically; they're stocked on Amazon and at most lighting suppliers.

Can I use it in a bathroom, and how do I clean the glass?

No — it's rated for indoor dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms and covered outdoor areas. Clean by dusting the panels and brass frame with a soft dry or barely damp cloth; don't soak leaded glass.
