What size is the Veloura Table Light?

The lamp is 25 cm wide × 41 cm tall (9.8″ × 16.1″) and weighs 7.44 kg. The hexagonal steel base provides a stable, weighted footing.

What kind of bulb does this lamp use?

It uses one E27 medium-base bulb, the standard screw size. A warm white bulb works best to glow through the amber glass.

Is the Veloura plug-in or hardwired?

It's a plug-in table lamp with a cord — no installation or hardwiring needed. Just screw in an E27 bulb and plug it into a standard outlet.

Can I use this lamp in a bathroom or outside?

No, it's rated for indoor dry locations only. Keep it out of bathrooms and covered outdoor areas because the glass shade and steel base are not moisture-resistant.

Is this lamp bright enough to read by?

No, it gives an ambient glow through the amber glass rather than bright task light. It works best as an accent lamp on a console, nightstand, or living room corner.

Inspiration

The Veloura Table Light draws on the cast-glass lanterns of mid-century and Art Deco interiors, when amber glass was prized for the way it turned ordinary light into something warm and golden. Four bubbled amber art-glass panels are set into a cube shade and bracketed at the corners, with a small metal knob finial capping the top like the lid of a jewelry box.

Below, a six-sided brushed-gold steel column gives the lamp its architectural stance — clean facets that echo the cube above and catch the light along each edge. Switched on, the glow moves through the textured glass in ripples and flecks, so the lamp reads as much like a small sculpture as a light. It brings a soft, honeyed warmth to a console, nightstand, or sideboard, especially in the evening.

Key Features

Four Amber Art-Glass Panels

Cast glass with a bubbled, textured surface — the light scatters unevenly and each panel shows its own pattern.

Weighted Hexagonal Base

A solid brushed-gold stainless steel column keeps the lamp stable on consoles and open shelving.

Warm Amber Glow

Soft, ambient mood light through the amber glass — an accent lamp rather than a reading light.

FAQ

Is the bulb included?

Yes — a warm 3000K E27 bulb is included. The socket also accepts standard US E26 bulbs if you replace it later.

Is it bright enough to read by?

It's a mood and accent lamp. For reading, pair it with a dedicated task light.

Is the glass meant to look bubbled and uneven?

Yes — bubbles, ripples, and tonal variation are natural to cast glass and make each panel unique. They are not defects.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No — it's for indoor, dry locations only.

Customer Questions

The amber glass looks beautiful, and the finish is really nice.

The glass has a really interesting texture, and the whole design feels special. I'd happily buy it again.

The warm light is my favorite part. It gives off such a soft golden glow, and the glass looks lovely when illuminated.

This was exactly what our bedroom needed. The amber shade gives off a cozy glow in the evening. I'm glad we chose this one.

I love the square glass design. Very happy with it!

We added this lamp to a small table beside our sofa. The size feels just right, and the textured glass makes it stand out.

This lamp has a nice, solid feel to it. I'm happy with how it looks on our living room side table.
