Inspiration

The Budelisse Chandelier started from a few magnolia branches cut in early spring and set in a tall vase: dark stems curving over the rim, pink buds just opening at the tips, and a scatter of copper-brown leaves still hanging on from the autumn before. We bent the stems in black metal, painted the leaves by hand in a copper gold, and put a glass bud at the end of every stem with a small light inside.

Key Features

Glass Flower Buds

Half-open buds of colored glass in Pink or Lavender, each with a small G4 light inside.

Hand-Painted Leaves

Metal leaves painted by hand in a copper gold, set along the stems and around the canopy.

Curving Black Stems

Black metal stems curve out and down from a center column, holding 12 or 15 buds at different heights.

FAQ

12 or 15 lights?

The 12-light (60cm/23.6″) suits a bedroom or a round dining table about 90–120cm/3–4 ft across. The 15-light (80cm/31.5″) suits a larger dining table, a living room or an entryway.

Pink or Lavender?

Both come on a black frame with copper-gold hand-painted leaves. Pink buds give a soft blush glow for a bedroom or girls’ room; Lavender buds give a pale, cool lilac glow for a bedroom, dining room or a soft pastel room.

How bright is it?

Each bud holds a small G4 bulb in Warm Light (3000K), so the light comes through the colored glass as a soft glow. It works as a decorative chandelier; for a bright working light, pair it with recessed lights.

How is it installed?

It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box and hangs from a 50cm/19.7″ adjustable chain, so we recommend a licensed electrician. The G4 bulbs are included.
