The Kairo Chandelier came from a question about the linear fixture itself: why does it have to be one unbroken bar? Cutting the length into four separate walnut blocks and leaving a gap between each one changes how the fixture reads — the eye follows a rhythm rather than a line, and the dark end grain shows at every joint, so the wood announces itself as timber rather than as a housing. Closer to a row of solid objects hung in a row than to a bar of light.
| Length | Metric | Power | Canopy | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 49.6″ | 126 cm | 30W | 16.9″ / 43 cm | 4–6 seat table |
| 61.4″ | 156 cm | 40W | 20.9″ / 53 cm | 6 seat table |
| 74.8″ | 190 cm | 50W | 24.8″ / 63 cm | 8 seat table, island |
All three share the same profile: 3.15″ / 8 cm deep × 3.94″ / 10 cm high, with a 2.2″ × 1.9″ (5.5 × 4.7 cm) canopy cross-section. Pick a fixture around two-thirds your table length, leaving about 12″ clear at each end, and hang the bottom of the shade 28–34″ (71–86 cm) above the surface.

Solid Wood Lighting
Each Docos lamp is shaped from a single, slow-grown hardwood — oak, walnut, ash, cherry — finished by hand and fitted with warm 2700K bulbs. No two pieces are alike, because no two trees are.

Why Wood Lighting?
Wood diffuses warm 2700K light across its grain — no glare, no clinical glow. Every bulb feels like late-afternoon sun.
Tonal variation, knots, and grain patterns are signatures, not flaws. Your lamp will be subtly its own — and only yours.
We use FSC-certified North American hardwoods and finish with low-VOC oils. Built to last decades, not seasons.
From measurement to finish, woodworking demands a balance of structure and patience. Every cut is squared, every joint dry-fit, every surface hand-sanded to 220 grit before oiling.
Each curve is shaped to honor the grain, not fight it. The result isn't just a lamp — it's a story of patience, passed from craftsman to customer through a single block of wood.
Choose Your Grain
Most Docos pieces are offered in the four hardwoods below. Pick the species that suits your room — they age beautifully, each in their own way.
Open grain, golden tone. The most versatile pick — pairs with every interior style.
Deep chocolate hues, ribbon grain. Statement-piece energy in any room.
Light, airy, almost Scandinavian. Works in bright minimal interiors.
Develops a deeper patina with age — the longer you own it, the better it looks.
Naturally Warm Ambience
Wood's organic surface filters and softens illumination — reducing glare, casting a warm, diffused glow. Beyond the look, it adds a tactile, sensory depth you simply can't get from metal or plastic.
The result: every lamp becomes a small architectural moment, not just a fixture.

Whether as a statement piece or a subtle accent, its adaptable design seamlessly complements various interior styles, from modern to classic.
We hung this over our kitchen island and the long shape works really well there. I’m very happy with how it turned out.
The spacing between the wood sections is a small detail, but I really like it. From different angles, those little gaps are more noticeable. It makes the whole light feel lighter.
The downward light is exactly what I wanted. The warm tone also looks great against the walnut. It’s very comfortable in the evening.
We used the longer version over our kitchen island and the proportions worked out nicely. It turned out better than I expected.
The wood looks especially good when the light is turned on.
