Solina Prism Pendant Light

Inspiration

The Solina Prism Pendant Light comes out of folded paper. A drum shade is a single curve with nothing to look at; creasing the same surface into angular panels gives every facet its own tilt toward the bulb, so one shade produces a dozen different tones of the same light. The frame stays inside and the fabric holds the geometry, which is why the shade reads as origami rather than as a lampshade with corners.

FAQ

Is a bulb included, and how bright is it?

Yes — a 3000K warm white LED bulb is included and replaceable. The socket takes E26 or E27 medium base bulbs, so standard US E26 replacements thread right in. The faceted fabric shade diffuses a single bulb into soft ambient light, so pair it with other lighting where you need brighter, directed light.

Will mine look exactly like the photo?

Not exactly. The shade is a natural fabric, so tone and texture vary slightly per piece — yours will read a little different from the photo. That variation comes with the material; it isn't a defect.

How is it installed, and can it go in a bathroom?

It's hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box and hangs from a cord that sets the drop, with some assembly and all hardware included — a licensed electrician is recommended. It's indoor dry locations only: the fabric shade isn't damp-rated, so avoid bathrooms with shower steam and outdoor spots.
