This one looks back to the old hanging lantern — a wooden frame built to hold glass, with the light living inside rather than pointing out. The wood does the drawing and the glass does the glowing, so lit at night the frame reads as dark lines around a warm center. It's a compact volume, near enough to a cube in proportion, which is what keeps a heavy vintage look from overwhelming a small room. Walnut for something quieter, orange for a fixture that carries the corner on its own.
