Inspiration

The Dacula started from a small annoyance: a lamp, a side table, and a place to put the remote are usually three objects fighting over the same corner. Here they're one. A wood column carries the light at the top and opens into a drawer below, so the surface stays clear and the clutter has somewhere to go. The form is deliberately plain — a cylinder, a seam, a wood grain left to speak for itself — because a piece that does two jobs shouldn't also ask for attention.

Can the LED be replaced when it burns out?

No — the LED is fully integrated into the fixture and can't be swapped for a bulb. Its average lifespan is 50,000 hours, which is roughly 17 years at 8 hours a day, so for most homes it lasts the life of the lamp.

How does the touch switch and the three-color light work?

Touch the lamp to turn it on, then touch again to move through three light colors — warmer for evenings, cooler and brighter for reading or working. There's no wall switch or dimmer to install.

Does it need wiring, and how long is the cord?
