Inspiration

The Elowienne Chandelier is a hatbox covered in porcelain flowers. White ceramic blossoms with ribbed petals and a copper pin at the center are set in rows around a low drum, with smaller clear glass flowers tucked between them, the way millinery flowers were pinned edge to edge on a 1950s hat. A frosted, pebbled glass disc closes the bottom, and the copper-tone frame hangs from a chain sleeved in twisted fabric. Lit from within, the ceramic flowers catch the light on their ridges and the clear glass ones sparkle, while the frosted disc spreads soft light down onto the table, which is why this ceramic flower drum chandelier was designed for a dining table, bedroom, or entry in French country, grandmillennial, and romantic-modern homes.

Which size fits my table?

40cm suits a bedroom or a table up to 100cm/40″; 50cm a table up to 130cm/52″; 60cm a round table up to 150cm/5 ft; the 80cm linear runs over a rectangular table of 160–200cm/5.5–6.5 ft.

Where does the light go?

Most of it passes down through the frosted bottom disc as soft, even 3000K light on the table; the rest slips out between the ceramic flowers and sparkles off the clear glass ones. It works as dining and ambient light.

How do I change a bulb?

Unscrew the copper knob at the center of the bottom disc, lower the disc, and the E12 sockets are open above. Replace the disc and knob when done.

Is it low enough for an 8 ft ceiling?

Yes. The drum is only 19cm/7.5″ deep, and the chain is shortened at installation, so it can hang close to the ceiling in a bedroom or drop lower over a table.
