Inspiration

The Meadowelle Pendant Lamp started from the straw sun hats worn to summer picnics in a meadow: a wide brim that has gone wavy at the edge, and a striped ribbon tied around the crown. We kept the wide, wavy brim and gave the shade a sandy, textured finish like woven straw seen from a distance. The striped hatband became a round green-and-cream striped knob on top, and under the brim a white acrylic diffuser follows the same wavy line as the edge.

FAQ
Which size should I choose?
The 40cm/15.7″ suits a round dining table about 90cm/3 ft across or a breakfast nook, and two of them work over a 5–6 ft kitchen island. The 50cm/19.7″ suits a dining table about 100–120cm/3.3–4 ft wide, or the middle of a bedroom or living room.
What colors is it?
The shade and canopy are a sand beige with a textured finish, the diffuser underneath is white, and the knob on top has green and cream stripes.
Will I see the light source?
No. The white acrylic diffuser closes the underside of the shade, so the light comes through it evenly and the integrated LED stays hidden, even when you look up from a chair.
How is it installed?
It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician. The LED is built in, so there are no bulbs to fit. The 150cm/59″ cord is adjusted during installation; over a table or island, hang the bottom about 76–91cm/30–36″ above the surface.
