Inspiration

The Popella Wall Sconce comes straight out of the Memphis Group's playbook: primary colors, basic solids, no apology. A saucer, a lozenge, a sphere, a cylinder, a cube — stacked like a child's threading toy and finished in high gloss, each shape a different color so none of them blends into the next. The clear glass globe on top leaves the bulb visible rather than hiding it, because the point was never to be discreet. It's a wall fixture that behaves like an object.

What bulb does it use, and is it included?
It takes 1 × G9, and a 3000K warm white bulb is included. G9 is a small two-pin base rather than a screw-in — not the standard US household size, so pick up G9 replacements specifically (they're stocked on Amazon and at most lighting suppliers). The bulb sits inside the clear globe, so it stays visible.
Is it hardwired or plug-in?
Hardwired — the round backplate mounts to a wall junction box and runs through your wall switch (not included). Professional installation is recommended, and it's rated for indoor dry locations only.
What's the light like — can I read by it?
The clear globe gives a warm, soft, decorative glow with the bulb visible — an accent light rather than a directed reading or task light. For reading in bed, add a separate task lamp.
