Do fabric shades make a room dimmer than glass or metal shades?

They spread light rather than reduce it — the shade glows evenly across its surface. Pair with a higher-lumen bulb for task lighting, or a standard warm-white bulb for ambient light.

Are fabric lampshades washable?

Most shades in this collection are spot-clean only. Check the individual product page for the specific care instructions for that material.

Can I use a fabric shade in a bathroom or damp area?

Fabric shades are generally intended for dry, indoor locations. Check the product's specific damp/wet rating before installing in a bathroom or covered outdoor space.

What bulb type works best with a fabric shade?

A warm-white LED (2700K–3000K) is the most common pairing — soft glow, low heat near the fabric. Check the product page for the exact bulb type and wattage it's rated for.

Do these fixtures require professional installation?

Table and floor lamps are plug-in and ready to use. Hardwired pendants and flush mounts should be installed by a licensed electrician per local code.
