The Osmara Alabaster Wall Sconce is a torch held out from the wall. A short brass arm leaves a round backplate and meets a slim upright rod: a Spanish alabaster globe sits at the top like a flame, and three stacked balls weigh the bottom like a counterbalance, the way a torchère is capped and footed. In the brass finish, a walnut segment and two walnut beads are set into the rod; in nickel and black the whole rod is metal. A pull chain hangs from the backplate, borrowed from old brass reading lamps. Lit from within, the stone glows cloud-white with amber veins, which is why this alabaster globe wall sconce with pull chain was designed for bedside walls, hallways, and living rooms in mid-century and art deco homes.

Hand-cut alabaster lighting that glows from within — chandeliers, pendants, sconces, and lamps, each carved from a single block of natural stone.
Alabaster can't be moulded or mass-pressed — it is cut. Every shade starts as solid stone and is worked by hand until it's thin enough to glow evenly. That's why no two are the same.
Blocks of natural alabaster are extracted and graded for translucency and the quality of their veining before any cutting begins.
Each block is sliced and turned or carved to form, then hollowed so a bulb can sit behind the stone wall.
The walls are sanded to an even thickness so light passes through without dark patches, then polished by hand.
Fitted with brass hardware and wired to a 120V, ETL-compliant build, then inspected before it ships.

Alabaster is a solid, fine-grained stone with real weight — not fragile in normal use. It is softer than marble, so avoid knocks and harsh chemical cleaners. A soft, dry cloth keeps it looking right for years.
No — and that's by design. Each shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining and tone are unique to your piece. The product photo shows a representative example; yours will have its own distinct veining.
Use a 2700K warm-white LED to bring out the honeyed, candle-like tone in the stone. Cooler bulbs make alabaster look gray. Most fixtures take an E26 or G9 base — check the product page — and dim with a compatible LED dimmer.
