These are not designed for typical installation on conventional fixtures. I had to make modifications to install the sconces. I'm so excited to find these and add them to my country themed bedroom. I love the final product, a very nice rustic design made of wood rather than a wood finish on metal or plastic. I placed warm amber Edison style bulbs in them and they look great. Assembly and installation took more time and difficulty than it should have.
