Inspiration

The Varello Chandelier began with the bold primary colors of early-1980s Milan design, when designers treated everyday objects as a chance to play rather than to blend in. Its looping arms borrow from the bent-wire toys and bead mazes of childhood, where a line wanders, crosses itself and still finds its way. The round globes nod to molecular models, small spheres joined by bright connectors. Together these ideas turn a ceiling light into something closer to a sculpture you look up at and smile.
