What bulb does this lamp use, and is one included?

It takes one G9 bi-pin bulb up to 40W, and a 3000K frosted warm bulb is included. G9 is a small two-pin base rather than a screw-in, so buy G9 replacements specifically—they're stocked on Amazon and at most lighting suppliers.

Is this lamp bright enough to read by?

No—it gives an ambient glow through the resin shade rather than focused light. It works as a decorative or mood light; for reading, pair it with a dedicated task lamp.

What are the dimensions of each size?

Small is 30cm W × 60cm H (11.8″ × 23.6″), Medium is 35cm W × 90cm H (13.7″ × 35.4″), and Large is 40cm W × 140cm H (15.7″ × 55.1″).

Do I need to assemble it or hire an electrician to install it?

No—it's plug-in with no assembly or wiring required. Fit the included bulb and plug into a standard outlet.

What materials is this lamp made from?

The base is solid wood in a natural finish, and the shade is moulded off-white resin. Wood grain and tone vary piece to piece, and the resin's waves and surface texture vary slightly—both are characteristic of the materials.

How do I care for the wood and resin?

Use a soft dry cloth on both the wood and resin. Keep the lamp dry and out of direct sunlight.

Inspiration

The Sylvelle Floor Light puts a flower on a stem and stops there. The resin shade is moulded with a rippled petal edge rather than a clean rim, so the light breaks unevenly across the surface the way it would through a real bloom, and the bulb sits dead center where a flower's core would be. Underneath, the wood is turned as a plain tapered cone — narrow at the foot, wide at the top — so the column reads as a stem holding the shade up rather than as a lamp base.

Key Features

Wavy Resin Flower Shade

A rippled petal edge that diffuses the bulb into a soft glow and reads as sculpture when off.

Tapered Solid-Wood Column

Solid wood turned into a cone that narrows toward the foot, with natural grain.

Yes, a 3000K warm G9 bulb is included. G9 is a small two-pin base, not screw-in, so buy G9 replacements specifically.

Which size should I choose?

The 140cm works as a floor lamp beside a sofa or in a corner, the 90cm next to a bed or reading chair, and the 60cm on a console, sideboard or wide nightstand.

Does it need assembly or wiring?

No. Fit the included bulb and plug it into a standard outlet. It's for indoor dry rooms only.

Solid Wood Lighting

timeless character.

Each Docos lamp is shaped from a single, slow-grown hardwood — oak, walnut, ash, cherry — finished by hand and fitted with warm 2700K bulbs. No two pieces are alike, because no two trees are.

Why Wood Lighting?

Three reasons it feels different.

Light that's softer on the eye

Wood diffuses warm 2700K light across its grain — no glare, no clinical glow. Every bulb feels like late-afternoon sun.

No two pieces alike

Tonal variation, knots, and grain patterns are signatures, not flaws. Your lamp will be subtly its own — and only yours.

Sustainably sourced

We use FSC-certified North American hardwoods and finish with low-VOC oils. Built to last decades, not seasons.

Hands measuring wood with precision tools

Precision in every line

From measurement to finish, woodworking demands a balance of structure and patience. Every cut is squared, every joint dry-fit, every surface hand-sanded to 220 grit before oiling.

Crafted by hand, inspired by nature

Each curve is shaped to honor the grain, not fight it. The result isn't just a lamp — it's a story of patience, passed from craftsman to customer through a single block of wood.

Choose Your Grain

Four hardwoods, four moods.

Most Docos pieces are offered in the four hardwoods below. Pick the species that suits your room — they age beautifully, each in their own way.

White Oak

Warm honey

Open grain, golden tone. The most versatile pick — pairs with every interior style.

Black Walnut

Rich espresso

Deep chocolate hues, ribbon grain. Statement-piece energy in any room.

White Ash

Pale linen

Light, airy, almost Scandinavian. Works in bright minimal interiors.

Black Cherry

Reddish amber

Develops a deeper patina with age — the longer you own it, the better it looks.

Soft warm light from sculptural wood pendant lamps

Naturally Warm Ambience

Light that feels like home.

Wood's organic surface filters and softens illumination — reducing glare, casting a warm, diffused glow. Beyond the look, it adds a tactile, sensory depth you simply can't get from metal or plastic.

The result: every lamp becomes a small architectural moment, not just a fixture.
