Camiora Wall Sconce

The Camiora started with a lotus caught half-open — petals still curling outward, the centre already lit. We shaped it in porcelain across three overlapping rows so the flower keeps its depth from any angle, then set it on a curved arm and a turned oak disc, the way a single stem meets still water. The wall version came after the pendant, for the rooms where a hanging light would be in the way. Everything is left plain: white glaze, bare grain, one warm bulb inside.

The Camiora works best as a hardwired bedside sconce above a nightstand or beside a vanity mirror, where the pull chain is easy to reach from bed or while seated. In a hallway or powder room it reads as an ambient accent rather than task light, since the porcelain sends most of the glow forward and down through the petal gaps. Hardwiring keeps the wall clean — no cord, no outlet — but it does need a junction box.
