Inspiration

The Dovelyn Table Lamp came from a stack of old white napkins in a grandmother’s linen drawer. Each one had a soft scalloped edge, finished in a different colored thread: rust on one, blue on the next, then pink, then green. Folded together, they looked like a row of small flags. We took one scalloped edge and one colored thread at a time, and set them on a slim gold stem.

Key Features

Scalloped Fabric Shade

A white tapered fabric shade with a scalloped hem, bound in colored trim along the top and bottom edges.

Six Trim Colors

Terracotta, Burgundy, Blush, Navy, Sage or Dusty Blue, so a pair can match a bedroom or mix in a kids’ room.

Slim Gold Stem

A thin iron stem on a round base, both in a gold finish, keeps the footprint small on a nightstand.

FAQ

Which trim color should I choose?

Dusty Blue, Navy and Sage suit a coastal or preppy bedroom. Terracotta and Burgundy are warmer and work well with wood furniture. Blush is a soft pick for a nursery or girls’ room.

How bright is it?

It holds one E26 or E27 bulb, included, in Warm Light (3000K). The white fabric glows softly, and the open bottom sends light down onto the nightstand or desk. It works as a bedside or accent light rather than a room’s main light.

How is it powered?

It is a plug-in lamp with a 150cm/59″ cord and an inline push-button switch, so it needs no installation.

How do I clean the fabric shade?

Unplug the lamp and let the bulb cool, then run a lint roller or soft dry brush over the shade. For a small mark, dab it with a slightly damp cloth; don’t wash the shade.
