Inspiration

The Fringavelle Pendant Lamp started from the fringed lampshades that hung in front parlors in the 1920s: tall, paneled, narrowing to a point at the top, with a long fringe that swayed when someone walked past. We kept that tall paneled shape and covered it in a cream fabric, outlined each panel with a brown braided trim, and finished the scalloped hem with two layers of fringe, brown over cream.

What colors is it?

The shade is cream fabric with brown braided trim along each panel, and the fringe is two layers, brown on top and cream below.

Will it fit over my dining table?

At 50cm/19.7″ wide, it suits a round dining table about 90–120cm/3–4 ft across or a rectangular table about 150–180cm/5–6 ft long. At 65cm/25.6″ tall, it needs a ceiling of about 8 ft or higher.

How do I keep the fringe clean?

Dust the shade with a soft brush or a vacuum brush on low, and run your fingers gently through the fringe to keep the strands straight. Keep it away from steam and moisture.

How is it installed?

It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician. Adjust the 150cm/59″ cord so the bottom of the fringe hangs about 76–91cm/30–36″ above the table. One E26 or E27 bulb is included.
