The Sculvera Floor Lamp came from an old cello leaning in the corner of a music teacher’s living room, its carved wooden scroll curling up and over at the top. Beside it stood a little round stool where she set her tea between lessons. We stretched that wooden curve into one long line from the floor to the light, and gave the little round table a place halfway up.

Solid Wood Lighting
Each Docos lamp is shaped from a single, slow-grown hardwood — oak, walnut, ash, cherry — finished by hand and fitted with warm 2700K bulbs. No two pieces are alike, because no two trees are.

We use FSC-certified North American hardwoods and finish with low-VOC oils. Built to last decades, not seasons.
From measurement to finish, woodworking demands a balance of structure and patience. Every cut is squared, every joint dry-fit, every surface hand-sanded to 220 grit before oiling.
Each curve is shaped to honor the grain, not fight it. The result isn't just a lamp — it's a story of patience, passed from craftsman to customer through a single block of wood.
