Inspiration

The Amelisse Pendant Lamp is a fabric pendant light shaped like a gathered skirt: a pleated white cone fans out from a small fabric-wrapped collar at the top, then breaks into two tiers of ruffles that hang loose around an iron ring. The fabric is unlined, so an E26 bulb inside gives a soft, even glow through the shade and a direct pool of light below the open bottom. At 28cm/11″ tall in three diameters (40, 50, or 60cm), this white ruffle fabric pendant light for the bedroom also suits a nursery, breakfast nook, or reading corner in a cottagecore, French country, or farmhouse home, and pairs with painted wood, linen, and rattan.

Which diameter should I pick?
40cm/15.7″ works beside a bed or over a nightstand, 50cm/19.7″ over a small breakfast table or in a nursery, and 60cm/23.6″ as the main light in a bedroom up to about 12 × 12 ft.
How does the light come through the fabric?
The shade is unlined white fabric, so the whole cone and skirt glow softly while the open bottom throws direct light down. It reads as ambient light rather than a task lamp.
Is the ruffle a separate piece?
No. The short frill and the longer skirt are sewn to the same seam at the rim of the iron ring, so they hang together and keep the ring hidden from every angle.
Can I set how low it hangs?
Yes. The shade is 28cm/11″ tall and the 150cm/59″ cord is cut to length at installation, so it can hang low over a table or sit high in a bedroom.
