Inspiration

The Bellacove Pendant Lamp started from the painted spinning tops sold at seaside fairs: a wide, flat cone with a colored rim, a ring of scalloped trim, and a stack of round knobs on top to hold while you spin it. We hung that top upside down from its handle. The cone became a blue shade with a brown rim, the scalloped trim became a ring of cream petals around the top of the shade, and the knobs became three round beads in yellow, blue and burgundy, stacked up along the cord.

FAQ

What colors is it?

A blue cone shade with a brown rim, a ring of cream petals, and three beads in yellow, blue and burgundy above it.

How many do I need over a kitchen island?

At 25cm/9.8″ wide, two work over an island of about 4–5 ft, and three over an island of 6–7 ft. A single one fits a breakfast nook, a small dining table or a bedside.

How high should I hang it?

Over a kitchen island or dining table, hang the bottom of the shade about 76–91cm/30–36″ above the surface. The 150cm/59″ cord is adjusted during installation to set that height.

How is it installed?

It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician. One E26 or E27 bulb is included.
