Inspiration

The Calenna takes its shape from soft furnishing rather than lighting — the scalloped hem of a country-house valance, the ribbed panels of a gathered lampshade sewn over a wire frame. Each segment is stitched separately so the dome reads as fabric under tension, with the scallop falling naturally at the rim instead of being cut into it. The turned wood ball on top and the small teardrop below borrow from curtain finials and pull cords, the hardware of a room that predates switches.

FAQ

Will US bulbs fit the E27 sockets?

Yes. E27 and the standard US E26 base are cross-compatible, so US replacement bulbs thread straight in. Warm white 3000K LED bulbs are included — three or four depending on size — and all are replaceable.

Which size suits my dining table?

A common rule is a shade roughly half to two-thirds the width of the table. The medium suits tables around 30–36″ wide; the large suits 36–48″ wide or a round table seating six. On a long rectangular table, one large dome centered reads better than a small one, which can look undersized once chairs are pulled in.

Will mine look exactly like the photo?

Close, but not identically. The shade is cotton-linen and the ball and teardrop are solid wood, so weave texture, fabric tone, and grain differ slightly between pieces. That variation is the nature of the materials, not a defect.
