Inspiration

The fuchsia flower hangs downward — petals folded back, the whole bloom pointing at the ground. That habit is the whole idea here: glass petals set in tiers that fall away from the frame instead of reaching up, so the fixture reads as something in flower rather than something switched on. The tinted glass is what carries it — blush, green, and cream stay translucent enough to let light through each layer, and the frame stays thin so the petals do the talking.

Key Features

Cascading Glass Petals
Tinted glass petals hang in tiers, 22 to 84 pieces depending on the model, so light filters through several layers at once.
Five Glass Colors
Gold, pink, green, clear, or white — clear and white read light and architectural, pink and green closer to art glass.
Five Models, Adjustable Chain
Four round sizes plus a 39.3″ linear model for long tables, all on a 19.7″ adjustable chain.
Sizes & Weight

Four round models by layer count, plus a linear version for a long table or island. All hang on a 19.7″ adjustable chain. Check the weight before ordering — the larger models need a ceiling structure rated to carry the load, not a junction box alone.

Use Case

Start from the surface underneath. Over a round or square dining table, choose a diameter about half to two thirds the table width and hang the glass 30–36″ above the top: 4 Layers suits a table for four, 6 Layers a table for six, 8 and 10 Layers a large table or a lounge with height to spare. Over a long rectangular table or a kitchen island, the 39.3″ linear model is the one — it follows the length of the surface instead of leaving the ends dark.

The light itself is a soft, scattered glow: many small E14 lamps refracting through tinted glass rather than one strong source, which is why a dimmer is worth wiring in a dining room. Clear and white keep a room feeling light; pink and green throw noticeable color onto nearby walls, so try them where you want that. All models are indoor only, and the larger ones are heavy enough that the ceiling fixing should be agreed with your electrician before you order. FAQ

Which model should I choose?
Over a round or square table, pick a diameter about half to two thirds the table width, hung 30–36″ above the top — 4 Layers for four seats, 6 Layers for six, 8 or 10 Layers for a large table or a tall lounge. For a long rectangular table or an island, choose the 39.3″ linear (3 Layers) model so the light follows the length of the surface.
How heavy is it, and what does my ceiling need?
From 13 kg (29 lbs) for 4 Layers up to 44 kg (97 lbs) for 10 Layers. The smaller models are within reach of a well-fixed ceiling box, but the 8 and 10 Layer sizes should be anchored to structure rated for the weight — blocking or a bracket fixed to joists, agreed with your electrician before ordering. The Installation Guide above has the mounting detail.
What bulbs does it use — are they included?
It uses E14 bulbs — the European small screw base — 6 to 16 depending on model, at 15W each incandescent or the LED equivalent. Warm white 3000K bulbs are included and replaceable. Note E14 is not the same as the US E12 candelabra base, so buy replacements listed as E14.
Does it arrive assembled? How fragile are the petals?
The glass petals ship separately and are fitted to the frame during installation — 22 pieces on the smallest model, 84 on the largest — so allow time and, on the bigger sizes, a second pair of hands. Handle each petal by its body rather than the edge, and support it from below when cleaning.
Docos Murano glass lighting

Every Piece, Singular.

No two of our hand-blown lamps are alike. Yours will exist nowhere else.

Why Docos

A Thousand Years of Murano.
In Every Lamp.

On a single Venetian island, master glassblowers have shaped molten color into light since 1291. We work directly with these same artisans — fewer than a hundred remain — to bring their fire, breath, and signature into your home. Every Docos piece is hand-blown, hand-finished, and signed by its maker. There are no factories. Only furnaces, time, and a skill that cannot be hurried.

The Murano Method

Six Steps. Two Thousand Degrees.
One Heirloom.

Every Docos lamp passes through three to five master craftsmen — each step impossible to fake, hurry, or outsource.

Each lamp inspected, numbered, and signed by the maestro who made it.

One-of-a-Kind

No Two Pieces Alike.
That's the Promise of Murano.

The swirls, bubbles, and color shifts in your Docos lamp aren't flaws to be polished away. They're fingerprints — proof your light was breathed into being by a single artisan, on a single morning, from a single gather of glass. Mass-produced lighting can be replaced. Yours cannot.

Sommerso layered glass

Sommerso. Layered.

Colors dipped layer by layer, suspended in crystal — a depth that shifts as light moves.

Pulegoso bubbled glass

Pulegoso. Bubbled.

Trapped air scattered like champagne — every bubble catching the bulb behind it.

Battuto hammered glass

Battuto. Hammered.

Hand-struck facets that fracture light like cut stone — each strike unrepeatable.
