Inspiration

The Melune Dome Flush Mount takes its shape from a gathered lampshade turned upside down and pressed to the ceiling. Pleating the fabric radially gives the dome its pumpkin-lotus swell, and cinching the folds at a small fabric floret underneath hides the seam the way a dressmaker would finish a hem. Nothing rigid shows: the frame stays inside, the cloth does the shaping, and the whole fixture sits close enough to the ceiling to feel built into the room rather than hung from it.

How many bulbs does it use, and are they included?
Three, and yes — three 3000K warm white LED bulbs ship with every size. The sockets take E26 or E27 medium base bulbs, so standard US E26 replacements thread right in.
Will it work with a low ceiling?
Yes — it's a flush mount on a metal canopy that sits close to the ceiling, so it works where a pendant would hang too low. The dome itself is 7.9″ to 11.0″ deep depending on the size.
What's the light like?
Three bulbs glowing through the gathered fabric give broad, even ambient light — brighter than a single-bulb flush mount, but diffused rather than directed. Add task lighting where you need to read or work.
