Inspiration

The Rivelle Ceramic Vase starts with fluting — the vertical channel cut into a stone column, repeated around the whole shaft so that light has something to catch as it travels across the surface. The four forms take that one device and move it onto domestic vessels: a lidded jar, a pitcher shape, and two short pieces where the flutes stop in arches near the base, the way a column meets its plinth. Gold is run along the ridges, following the grooves rather than crossing them, so the line work traces the structure instead of sitting on top of it.

Good To Know

!
Poured glaze · every piece finishes differently The glaze is applied in two poured layers, so it runs and pools unevenly — expect variation in speckling, tonal depth and how thickly the glaze sits in the flutes, along with slight differences in the gold line work. Dimensions are approximate; ceramic moves in the kiln. None of this is a defect.
Key Features

Two-Layer Poured Glaze
The glaze is poured on in two separate layers rather than sprayed, which is what produces the speckled, mottled depth and the darker pooling where the glaze settles into the grooves.
Gold Lining Along the Flutes
A fine gold line is drawn down the raised ribs, so the flutes read as defined vertical edges from a distance instead of blending into the body.
Four Distinct Forms
A 48 cm lidded jar with a stacked-bead finial, a handled pitcher shape, and two short arched-base pieces at 20.5 cm and 29.5 cm — grouped or used on their own.

Use Case

Style A stands 48 cm with its lid on, which makes it a floor-adjacent or console piece rather than a tabletop one — set it at one end of an entryway console, on a fireplace mantel, or flanking a hutch in a French country dining room, and leave the lid on so it reads as a covered jar. Style B is the one most people reach for on a kitchen island: a fluted ceramic pitcher vase for a farmhouse kitchen counter, loose with garden roses, tulips or dried wheat. Styles D and E are small enough for a bathroom vanity, a nightstand, or a bedroom dresser, and the two heights group well together on open shelving. The mottled greige-cream glaze sits against painted cabinetry, natural wood and unbleached linen without pulling attention, and the gold lining picks up warm light from a nearby lamp in the evening.

FAQ

What are the four sizes?
Style A is Dia 25.5 cm × H 48 cm including the lid (∅ 10″ × H 18.9″). Style B is W 23.5 cm × D 20.5 cm × H 30.5 cm, measured across the handle (W 9.3″ × D 8.1″ × H 12″). Style D is Dia 15 cm × H 20.5 cm (∅ 5.9″ × H 8.1″). Style E is Dia 18 cm × H 29.5 cm (∅ 7.1″ × H 11.6″). Each is sold individually.
What is the difference between the four styles?
All four are ceramic with a two-layer poured glaze and gold lining along the flutes; the shapes differ. A is a tall lidded jar topped with a stacked-bead finial. B is a pitcher form with a single handle. D and E are shorter fluted pieces with arched relief around the base, in two heights.
Which style suits which stems?
Style B's wide neck takes a loose, low arrangement — garden roses, tulips, dried wheat. Styles D and E suit short stems and small bunches at nightstand or vanity scale. Style A is a covered jar, so it works as a standalone object with the lid on rather than as a container for stems.
How do I clean it?
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, or wipe gently with a damp cloth and dry it off. Keep abrasive cleaners and scouring pads away from the gold lines — they wear through before the glaze does.
