Inspiration

The Avelisse is built from one repeated part: a ribbon of ceramic bent back on itself, open at both ends. Ranked into descending tiers, those loops behave the way crystal drops do on an old chandelier — catching light at the curve, throwing it on to the next row — but in matte stone-white rather than cut glass. The larger the configuration, the more the piece stops being a fixture and starts reading as a hanging structure, which is why the tiers were kept open rather than filled.

All three hang from a 19.7″ (50 cm) adjustable chain on a Ø5.3″ (13.5 cm) canopy, shortened at install. Small and Medium suit a formal dining room or living hall with standard ceilings — over a table, hang the bottom about 30–36″ (75–90 cm) above the surface. The Grand's 59″ drop is for a multi-story foyer or stairwell, where the tiers can be seen from more than one level.

What bulbs does it take — and will US bulbs fit?

It takes E14 small screw base bulbs — 11, 15, or 40 depending on the configuration — and bulbs are included. Note that E14 is not the same as the US E12 candelabra base, so a US E12 bulb will not thread in: buy E14 replacements (4W warm white LED filament suits the ceramic), or fit E14-to-E12 adapters.

What ceiling support does the weight need?

Weights run 27.6 lb (12.5 kg) for the Small to 181.9 lb (82.5 kg) for the Grand. A standard residential ceiling box is not sufficient for the Grand — have a licensed electrician, and for the 40-head a structural engineer, confirm the ceiling can carry the load before ordering.

Can I adjust the hanging height, and does it need assembly?

Every configuration ships with a 19.7″ (50 cm) adjustable chain that is set during install. The ceramic loops and frame assemble on site, so professional installation is strongly recommended — particularly on the 40-head, where the tiers go together row by row.

Which size should I pick?

Small (Ø27.5″) and Medium (Ø35.4″) work on standard ceilings over a dining table or in a living hall. Choose the Grand (Ø39.4″, 59″ drop) only where there is height to spare — a multi-story foyer or stairwell, seen from more than one level.
