Inspiration

The Elowenna Chandelier started from a magnolia branch cut for a vase. The blooms sat at uneven heights along the stem, a few fully open and a few still cupped, and none of them faced the same direction. That branch had no center to it, so the design followed the same logic — arms reach out at different lengths and the flowers tilt where they land rather than sitting in a neat ring. Small faceted stones were set along the stems where new buds would be forming. One drop hangs below the point where the branches gather, the way the last bud on a cut stem always points down.

Over a dining table, leave at least 15cm/6″ of clear table on each side of the fixture: Dia 85cm/33.5″ suits a table of about 115–140cm/45–55″, Dia 90cm/35.4″ about 120–150cm/48–60″, and Dia 100cm/39.4″ about 140–180cm/55–70″. In an open living room, the Large also works as the central fixture in a room of roughly 4.5 × 5m/15 × 16 ft.

How high does it hang?

Body height is 56cm/22″ on a 35cm/13.8″ chain, so the total drop is roughly 95cm/37″ before the chain is shortened. That suits an 8 ft ceiling over a dining table. For a 10 ft ceiling or a stairwell, add extra chain to bring it down.

What bulbs does it take?
