Inspiration

Serena looks back to the leaded-glass studios of the Art Nouveau years, when a lampshade was cut and soldered like a small window rather than molded. The shade opens as a lotus — petals of pink and cream glass leaning outward, each seam left visible so you can read how the piece was assembled. It was drawn to be moved rather than installed: a lamp you swag from a hook above a bed or a reading chair, the way a plant gets hung wherever the light is good.
