Inspiration

The Bravion Pendant Lamp comes from a tailor's shelf lined with spools of cotton thread. Each spool is wound tight and even, and set side by side the colors form bands of dark brown, caramel and cream. Here the thread is wound straight onto a wide, shallow drum, one band of color after another around the whole circle, so the stripes run from top edge to bottom edge. A solid wood rod and a round wood canopy carry the same natural tone up to the ceiling on a twisted cord. When the light is on, the cream bands glow brighter than the brown ones, and the thread shows its fine texture, while light falls through the open base onto the table below.
