The Sylvarra Pendant Light comes from watching light pass through a leaf — dense at the veins, glowing at the edges. Basswood is sliced thin enough to be translucent, then layered petal over petal so each overlap reads a shade darker than the one beside it. The brass fitting at the center stays small on purpose; the wood is meant to be the whole fixture. Lit, the shade glows from within and throws leaf-shaped shadows onto the ceiling around it.
Two sizes — the small is taller and narrow (single, entry, or bedside pair); the large is broad and low (over a table or island).
