Inspiration

The Dovelyn Wall Sconce started from the linen napkins in a grandmother's sideboard drawer, plain white cloth finished with a scalloped edge stitched in one color, red on some, navy or pale green on others. They came out for Sunday lunch and went back folded in a neat stack, each color peeking out along the edge. We wrapped that same white cloth around a small lampshade, kept the wavy scalloped hem with its colored edge, and set it on a slim gold arm.

FAQ

Which trim color should I choose?

Navy and Dusty Blue suit coastal and blue-and-white rooms, Sage goes with green walls and plants, Blush fits a nursery or a soft bedroom, and Terracotta and Burgundy add a warmer accent next to wood and brass.

Where should I mount it?

At 23cm/9.1″ wide and 35cm/13.8″ tall, it is sized for a bedside wall, either side of a mirror, or a row along a hallway. A pair on each side of a bed is the most common setup.

How bright is it?

It gives a soft, warm light. The fabric shade sends light up and down along the wall and lets some glow through, which suits bedside reading or evening light in a hallway rather than lighting a whole room.

Is a bulb included, and how is it installed?

Yes. It comes with one E26 or E27 bulb in warm 3000K light. E26 is the standard screw base used in the US. It is hardwired to a wall junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.
