Inspiration

Calyra began with a flower caught mid-bloom. Fabric is gathered into radiating pleats that fan out from the center like petals, then stacked in two scalloped tiers so the silhouette opens as it descends. It's the pleated fabric shade of an old English bedside lamp, scaled up and turned toward the ceiling — the kind of soft, gathered detail that grandmillennial and coastal rooms are built on. Warm gold at the canopy and a small ball finial at the base keep the softness from going shapeless.

Are bulbs included? What type?
Yes — bulbs are included. The sockets fit E12 or E14 candelabra base bulbs (E12 is the US standard for chandelier-style bulbs; E14 is the European/Asian equivalent and the same physical socket here), up to 25W each. Replacements are stocked at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon under "candelabra base" or "E12 chandelier bulb".
Is this a flush mount or a semi-flush mount?
Technically a semi-flush mount. The canopy mounts directly to the ceiling with a short stem, so the bottom of the shade sits about 12 inches below it — close enough for low 8 ft ceilings, but not as flat as a true flush mount that sits within 4 inches.
Is the shade real fabric?
Yes — pleated beige linen over a metal frame, not molded plastic or resin. The pleats are gathered and stitched by hand, so fold spacing and scalloped edges vary slightly between fixtures. That's part of the handcrafted look.
Can I install it myself or do I need an electrician?
