Lilypad comes from looking down at a pond rather than up at a ceiling — flat discs floating at slightly different heights, overlapping where they drift together. Each glass pad catches the light from the pads above and below it, so the fixture reads as layers of shadow and glow instead of a single bright object. Clear glass keeps it architectural; green, amber, pink, and gold turn the same arrangement into something closer to stained glass.

Four sizes, all with a 19.7″ hanging rod. Check the weight before you order — every size needs a ceiling structure rated to carry it, and a standard junction box on its own is not enough.

This is a centerpiece fixture, so start from the surface below it. Over a dining table, aim for a diameter around half to two thirds the table width, with the bottom of the glass 30–36″ above the tabletop: Small suits a table for four to six, Medium a table for six to eight, Large and X-Large a long table or a wide foyer. In an open room, a rough guide is to add the room's length and width in feet and use that number in inches as the diameter.

Twenty small G9 lights spread across layered glass give a broad, sparkling ambient light rather than a single strong beam, and a dimmer makes a real difference in a dining room. Because the fixture is heavy — 88 to 220 lbs depending on size — plan the installation before the purchase: it needs a flat ceiling with structure rated to carry the load, and it can't go on a sloped or pitched ceiling.
